Would You Drink ‘Dog’s Milk’? Watch This Clever Prank.
These Londoners seemed impressed when they tried out a new milk drink and were told it would be hitting supermarket shelves soon. But when the milk’s “true” origin was revealed, everything changed. Watch the video to find out what happened.
People were disgusted when they were told that the drink (which was actually soymilk) came from a dog. But if the thought of drinking dog’s milk makes you feel ill, why drink the milk from any other animal? After all, there is nothing “normal” about artificially inseminating a cow and forcing her to give birth, only to tear her beloved calf away from her so that the milk that nature intended for her baby can be consumed by humans instead. Humans are the only species on the planet to drink another animal’s milk, and cow’s milk is no more natural for us than dog’s or rat’s milk would be.

Cow’s milk is for calves—it enables them to gain hundreds of kilos in a matter of months. But for humans, milk is high in fat, is a common trigger for allergies, and is linked to many illnesses.
The dairy industry also fuels cruelty to animals on a huge scale. Cows on dairy farms, even organic ones, relive the nightmarish cycle of pregnancy and losing their babies year in and year out, until they can no longer produce enough milk to be commercially viable—which is when they’re sent to slaughter.
If the thought of drinking a cold glass of dog’s milk makes you shiver, consider the reality of drinking cow’s milk and try eating (and drinking!) vegan instead.
