Vegan Accessories: The New Black
If it isn’t enough to know that going veg saves 100 animals every year, puts you on the path to a healthy lifestyle, and reduces your impact on the environment, these days it’s also becoming pretty trendy. The number of people choosing to lead a cruelty-free life is growing, and more and more businesses are making super-funky, glamorous, and ultra-chic accessories just for vegans. Many of them are so good that it’s not just vegans who are clamoring to wear cruelty-free coolness!
Anyone who thinks that vegans must struggle to glam up has clearly been missing out. New companies, such as Vegan Style and Vegan Wares, have made online shopping for glamorous and smart shoes, belts, and bags a piece of (vegan) cake.
Numerous celebrities have also had a hand(bag) in making vegan accessories the “in thing.” Matt & Nat‘s eco-friendly accessories have become favorites with such high-profile style icons as Natalie Portman and Charlize Theron, and the company has recently been chosen to make accessory bags for Apple’s Mac computers in Europe. Even the super-style-conscious U.S.-based W magazine has run a feature on the top vegan accessories!
You can also find great vegan accessories at stores and on online shopping sites that don’t sell specifically tailored cruelty-free items. But it is always reassuring to know that you are buying items from a compassionate company, so you can be sure that no animals have been harmed for your awesome new belt or wallet.
So the next time someone says that they can’t find animal-friendly, good-quality, and fashionable accessories, feel free to tell them that we don’t need to wear cruelty around our waists, on our feet, or over our shoulders when there are cruelty-free options out there for even the most dedicated follower of fashion!
