Science Consortium Advances Non-Animal Testing – One Scientist at a Time
To support the development of non-animal testing strategies, the PETA International Science Consortium Ltd. (the Consortium) has launched an award for one early-career scientist to attend the 20th International Congress on In Vitro Toxicology (ESTIV2018). The Consortium will cover the winner’s conference registration and provide a contribution towards travel and accommodation costs. Postgraduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and new researchers who intend to pursue a career in in vitro toxicology are invited to apply.
The conference – which will take place in Berlin, Germany from 15 to 18 October 2018 – will include lectures and poster presentations by experts in the fields of in vitro and in silico toxicology. Attendees will explore new developments in in vitro models of systemic and local toxicity, toxicokinetics, read-across, in vitro to in vivo extrapolation, and regulatory applications of non-animal methods. More information on the conference can be found here.
The competition is open to applicants from any country, and the deadline for applications is 17 June 2018. If you or someone you know is interested in applying, please see the full details on the award here.
