PHOTOS: Cute ‘Chick’ Cheers On Lewis Hamilton at the Formula 1 Chinese Grand Prix
Today, a cute PETA “chick” greeted Formula 1 fans at the Shanghai International Circuit in honor of champion racecar driver Lewis Hamilton, who recently attributed, in part, his top-level fitness to being vegan.

In today’s meat, egg, and dairy industries, animals are typically crammed by the thousands into filthy sheds, torn away from their families, denied proper veterinary care, and mutilated. Those who go vegan as Lewis has done not only spare more than 100 animals a year daily suffering and a terrifying death but also reduce their own risk of suffering from heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and numerous other ailments. Additionally, vegan meals are greener—the United Nations has said that a global move towards a vegan diet is necessary to offset the worst effects of climate change.
This spring, hit the accelerator and follow Lewis’ healthy and compassionate lead by pledging to go vegan.
