Justin Bieber Promotes Adopting Animals From Shelters

Justin Bieber  had a great year, filled with chart-topping singles, major television appearances, a Vanity Fair cover, the preparation of a documentary about his life called Never Say Never, and numerous awards, including an American Music Award for Artist of the Year. Now, this Grammy-nominated breakthrough artist is taking time out of his busy schedule to star in his second heartwarming public service announcement (PSA) for peta2 encouraging people to adopt animals from animal shelters instead of buying them from breeders or pet stores.

Justin sings his praises for his furry friends in the PSA, which reads, “Animals Can Make U Smile. Adopt From Your Local Shelter.” Every year, millions of abandoned or stray dogs and cats enter animal shelters—and many of them must be euthanized because there are not enough homes for them. Justin wants his fans to know that buying a dog or cat from a pet store or breeder takes away a home from an animal in a shelter who deserves a loving family.

So if you’re thinking about bringing an animal into your home, take a cue from Justin and give a shelter animal a new leash on life!
