The Jordan Civil Defense Directorate Receives an Award From PETA for Rescuing Animals
The Jordan Civil Defense Directorate has received a Friend to Animals Award from PETA for going above and beyond the call of duty to save the lives of trapped, scared, or injured animals.
The directorate has helped rescue cats and dogs stuck in street tunnels, saved puppies born in sewers from drowning, saved kittens whose heads have become stuck in cans of food, and rescued cats from trees or buildings. It’s always there for animals in need.
Help Keep More Animals off the Streets
Animals who live on the streets can easily fall prey to dangerous situations and humans. Here are a few crucial things that we can all do to help them:
- Never buy animals from breeders or pet stores. Instead, visit your local shelter and give an animal a second chance at life.
- Always spay or neuter your dogs and cats. Not only is it better for them, it also saves countless lives.
- Make sure that you’re ready for a lifetime commitment before adopting.
