O&M and PETA Take Home the Gold
We knew from the moment that we saw it that Ogilvy & Mather’s (O&M) creative and provocative art installation “Fur Hurts” was one of the best—and now the agency is winning major international awards for it. At this year’s prestigious London International Awards, O&M took home both a gold and a silver statue for its work with PETA on “Fur Hurts.”
Visitors to a large shopping center in China saw the lifelike sculptures of animals who are threatened by the fur trade—and who wore coats of needles rather than their own fur so as to represent the pain that they endure when they’re killed for their skins—and could also sign a fur-free pledge instantly.
And in other news, for the awesome video Runway Reversal, PETA and O&M received the Audience’s Favorite Award in the Best Cartoon category at the China International Animal and Nature Film Festival. Watch the video here.
Congratulations to O&M for helping animals with some very creative work.
